SHAPE Library show

Started a solo show today at the SHAPE Library here in Mons, Belgium. It will be on until the end of the month. A special thanks to ‘The Boss’ who was kind enough to hang everything for me whilst I was at work – and did a very fine job of it too! Thanks love 🙂

There are a few more paintings too, in case you were wondering…

UA Members’ Annual Exhibition

ualogo

As I mentioned in my last post, I have some work in this show. It’s at the Bankside Gallery, London, starting on 18th November and ending on 23rd November. There is now an online gallery that showcases all the Members’ works which have been pre-selected for the exhibition.

Each image has the name of the artist with a hyperlink to their own website, together with details about the work including price. The works are arranged by genre to enable easier browsing.

There is some great work there, please take a look – and get along to the show if you can!

I’m pleased to say that I’m now being represented by a gallery in Denver, Colorado. fiftyartists is an online gallery specialising in smaller paintings for under $500. They have some great paintings on their site, and of course you can also check out a selection of my work with them here.

A point of view

Well that’s the end of the shows for this year. No more dashing about trying to remember which paintings to drop off and pick up from where. I may now actually have time to paint some more pictures even. I’ve had work in three shows this week, and have sold four paintings. I’m not sure how I feel about that – whether I should be chuffed (US = stoked) that I have found new homes for some of my work, and that there will be some more people enjoying what I’ve done – at least I assume they will enjoy the paintings seeing as they’e parted with hard-earned money for them! Or should I be disappointed that, with all that work on show, I didn’t sell more?

I won’t be losing a huge amount of sleep worrying about the answer to be honest. I guess it boils down to how you view the picture below…
